You might look at me and think ‘but she’s just flexible’, and while that might be true today, it hasn’t always been the case. I used to be just like you.

I know what it feels like to live in a body that always feels tight and restricted, what it’s like to wake up every day with an achy back, and to live with a constant hamstring niggle. I understand the frustration of working hard on achieving a training goal (it was handstands for me) and falling short of my own hopes and expectations. I’ve been there. I know the struggle, and just like you I used to think that ‘I’m just not flexible’.

But I got sick of seeing other people achieve the goals I was training so hard for, seemingly with ease simply because their body moved in ways mine didn’t. I had dabbled with a bit of flexibility work before but never taken it as serious as my other training. Quite honestly, I didn’t think my body was capable of moving in the way I wished I could. That changed when I started taking my flexibility training serious and began to approach it the same way as my skill and strength work – with consistency and a structured program.

My body now moves in a way that enables me to chase the goals I want, without any niggles and tightness getting in the way. I have the confidence in my body to try new activities (like learning how to backflip as an adult) and know that my body will support my pursuits rather than hinder me.

As someone who isn’t naturally flexible, I have come much further than I ever imagined. I’m here to help you do the same.
