“After doing some sessions with Kat for 6 months and then recently going on a boat trip with a bunch of mates, I’ve just noticed my endurance in the water was a lot better than it had been in the past and I feel like I’ve almost closed 10 years in terms of my age and being able to stay in the water for longer periods of time. The training, as brutal as it’s been has definitely given me more strength and flexibility there. There seems to be this stigma that as you age you can’t stay active anymore but you can definitely counter that by getting some training in flexibility and strengthening in those joints that really count.”

It was so nice to see that I could start making progress again

“All that training I’ve been doing with Kat gives me so much confidence when I go for big kicks, jump splits and things like that as part of my cheerleading for Manly NRL and the Samba I do. It gives me less apprehension with injuries an it’s really good to know that I can trust my body again, and don’t have to doubt flying into some of those movements. It’s really important for me to prepare and understand my body and work with people who equally understand it. The first session I did with Kat she picked up on a roadblock in my training that I hadn’t been able to get help with for months, so it was really nice to see that she was able to iron it out and I could start making progress again.”
